Coming August 6-7, Lakeside Church will host the Willow Creek Association Leadership Summit. I want you to join us for this significant event if at all possible.
Here's why...
First, you lead somebody everyday. If you are a follower of Jesus, you lead people. You may have a small amount of influence, or a huge amount, but as a Christ-follower, you do lead. The Summit will encourage you in this.
Second, many people think the Summit is just for pastors. As if pastors were the only leaders. What about people who lead at work or in the PTA or Little League? What about those who lead small groups or ministry teams? What about the people who lead mission events and excursions? So many of us can gain significant training through this two-day blast of information, encouragement and application.
Third, the Leadership Summit has been my single greatest training tool in my own leadership journey. I want you to gain the same benefits I have gained.
Fourth, Bono is coming.
Fifth, Bill Hybels is coming.
Sixth, Jesus is coming and we are running out of time to make a difference in this world. If you are frustrated with your ability to bring influence into this world in order to bring glory to Jesus, the Summit is a great starting point.
OK, the blog is open. Some of you can add reasons seven, eight, nine and so on.
See you at the Summit.
Seventh, the Wrights are coming.
haha, okay, maybe that's not a reason for others to come, but we are super stoked that the Summit happens during our furlough in Aug. Can't wait to learn and be encouraged in the company of Lakeside!!
