I just have a moment to say how proud I am of the team of leaders and volunteers who are serving at Blitz this week. If you are unfamiliar with Lakeside Church, Blitz is our annual Summer Day Camp for children, kindergarten through 5th grade. This year we have over 900 children participating. We also have over 400 volunteers leading and serving. Both of those numbers are staggering.
But the lives behind the numbers are more important. Literally hundreds of the children participating at Blitz do not come from Christian families. Certainly, some come from other churches in the area, but many come from backgrounds where Jesus is not honored or followed as Lord. They are receiving a grace-filled, truth-filled week of information about Jesus and how his followers live. It is awesome.
Way to go team. You are doing an awesome job this year. Jesus is smiling at his servants this week.
Grace.
My entire family was beyond blessed by Blitz! My 4 1/2 year old loved her experience and told us all about Jesus each night. My 3 year old in Jungle Junction loved singing with the big kids. I can't say enough about the blessing of serving all week. The volunteers all radiated Christ's love. THANK YOU Lakeside!!!

Blitz is THE event that my daughter looks forward to every summer. She is so proud of her church and is so excited to invite all of her friends to attend Lakeside's Blitz. Each year she has come away w/a story to tell me (mom) about how Jesus actually spoke to her through what she learned that week.
I am so very grateful to all of the volunteers at Blitz. From one parent - THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Best vacation ever! I will definitely be volunteering next year too. Not only life changing for the kids, but for the volunteers too.
